Consider our SF links your Internet gold rush, but don't just visit the city the virtual way. Hike, swim, canoe, or golf Golden Gate Park. Enroll in the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon. Bird-watch on Brooks Island. Reserve a seat at the Symphony's cheap dress rehearsals. Eat tortillas, dim sum, or fresh squid. Dharma Bums will want to retrace Jack Kerouac's steps, or cruise Haight-Asbury for shrines to Jerry Garcia. And if you're feeling the foggy blues, coffee at the Midnight Café is always the best cure. Take a sip, then meditate why the natives here are so cool.
