Great Northern Snow-Cat
We like the sleek look here at Great Northern Snow-Cat, the site for an all-inclusive ski lodge located in the Canadian Selkirk Mountains. You'll easily find all you need to know, with rates, maps and substantial descriptions of their snow-cat operation and the Selkirk's pristine ranges.

If you'd like to get a taste of what the extreme skiing experience is all about, this article intensely describes the writer's adventure in the Sierra Crest, complete with glaciers and "bergshrunds" (a gaping crack in the snow). Use the link at the bottom of the page to find more mountain and skiing related info on the main Sierra Web site.

Speed Skiing
The Speedski site leads you to some of the fastest slopes around, many in the US and France. You'll also find speedskiing race schedules, skier profiles and comprehensive links, including one to "Speed Visor", the cap that stays on your head at speeds of up to 75 mph. Vroom!

UpSki Wind Mountaineering
Although we're not sure that this qualitifes as extreme, we found the photos on this site to be quite intriguing. Its called Up-Skiing, and if you'd like to be pulled up a steep slope in Colorado by a ski sail (at 35 mph!) you should take a look.
