Aspen Snowmass
Aspen offers a lot more than skiing these days, but you'll still find some of the better slopes in the west in this over-hyped resort area. Vital stats, beautiful photos, trail maps, schools, package offers, and even information on the town are all available at this comprehensive site.

Heavenly Main Index Page
This site is, well, heavenly. The folks at Heavenly Ski Resort (on the border of California and Nevada) think their resort is superior, and we have to agree with them. Majestic mountains with 82 runs, plenty of lodging and nightlife choices (described in loving detail), they have it all. Someone is smiling down on them from above.

Montana's Winter Recreation
If you'd like to hit the slopes where it's a bit less crowded than say, Aspen, try the "Big Sky Country" of Montana. This mountainous state offers more than a dozen ski resorts, and this official state tourism site serves up detailed info for all of them. The eager to please site for Ski New Mexico does a thorough job of promoting the state's many skiing areas. Information is smartly laid out, and you can get details for all areas and than link to the actual sites for each town. The useful Calendar of Events lists races, workshops, parties and even 1/2 price weekend offers for the various resorts.
