Salon Magazine: Travel Europe
Look, it's old Salon. Check out the archives for some great travel articles. Style varies, but many are like travelogues, with photos and travel tips. Read about rollerblading in Paris, Christmas in Germany, and more.

iAgora.com
Polished travel writing makes this a superb magazine. It is not focused on budget travel, but articles on sights and culture of international destinations are for everyone. We especially enjoyed "Off the Beaten Path" articles on unusual travel--check it out.

Sally's Place: Europe
From Lakeside Luxury to the Land of Ham and Cheese, Sally's Place serves up well-researched essays on travel experiences that span the budget spectrum. Take a look at a walking tour you can do yourself or head to the farm in France for cheap accommodations. Articles include travel logistics and and contacts.

Travelog.net
In addition to the non-European travelogue on this site, this excellent set of links include entertaining, opinionated descriptions (from "I hate this guy!" to "they do a killer site") of other web travelogues, with a long list of unreviewed sites, as well.

Gone Walkabout
World traveler Seán Connolly offers his travel diaries online. The European section's a little small (he spent most of his time in Asia and Africa), but the journals are entertaining, with great photos.

Traveler's Journal
These syndicated two-minute radio spots are a little light on content, but a good way to get an overview of travel destinations. Read the text or hear a Real Audio recording of programs. Topics (many based on European travel) range from "Weimar: Europe's City of Culture" to "Fight or Flight," on the tribulations of airlines.
