The Irish Tourist Board
Irish Tourism's official site. As expected, amazing amounts of info, a dynamo search feature and lots of helpful advice. The lay out is quite elegant and simple, but we were disappointed that the frames kept slowing us down.

IrishNet Index
Based in Boston, this site acts as a meeting place for Irish people around the globe. A little New England-centric, but you can scavenge for some old country tourist info. "Favorite Sites" link to some fabulously interesting goodies.

Travel.org: Ireland Links
An intriguing set of links for tourism and culture in Ireland. Scroll down the front page to see what catches your fancy. We particularly liked "Famous Dublin People." For instance, do you know who Paul Hewson is (aka:"rock star who thinks he's bigger than John Lennon").

INFOHUB Ireland Travel Guide
Here's a deep collection of links on Ireland, specially good for anyone planning to move there. Tourism links tend to be a bit shallow (except for City.Net,) but you can discover lots of gems about culture and economy.

Swift Guide to Ireland
This "swift" guide to Ireland is anything but. "Deep" might be a better description since you have to click numerous times to hit real tourism info and then you just might get a bad link. Good for slow browsing only.

Holiday Ireland
We thought this travel guide for Ireland would soar, given its catchy design. Unfortunately, info is still "in development." Check out restaurants and hotels for completed cities; click under "Hiking" and "Equestrian" for some great theme trip ideas.

Rick Steve's Ireland
Check out these passages from vet travel writer Rick Steve's Britain and Ireland Guide. Interesting selections, but Rick, don't we deserve a few photos at least? With only pure text, the layout is about as dismal as a bog.

Interactive Travel Guide to the Best of Ireland
This interactive Ireland guide makes you do all the work. The restaurant guide (by city) boasts only prices (and rarely even an address) and even the intriguing "Itinerary" link falls short. An interesting map does show "tranquility spots," but the most info is about the President. Propaganda?
